InteropONETM enables an empowered approach to Unified Communications
Interoperate with your LMR system
InteropONETM utilizes a Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) gateway to provide a powerful and cost-effective way to interconnect LMR systems with InteropONETM’s broadband PTT service. RoIP gateways allow agencies to extend radio coverage beyond traditional RF limits and enable seamless communications across jurisdictions, disciplines, and geographic regions.
InteropONETM’s RoIP configuration is summarized in the figure below.
The key components include:
- LMR donor radio(s), which acts as the ‘bridge’ into the LMR system. The donor radio may be a legacy analog or digital (P25, DMR, TETRA) radio.
- JPS RoIP gateway(s), which converts donor radio voice and signaling into IP data, and in turn is sent to the InteropONE™ server over a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. This happens in reverse when an InteropONE™ user PTT’s on a group that is interconnected through the RoIP gateway.
